Description The Medisign® MM1200 Blood Glucose Monitoring System is designed for quantitative measurement of glucose concentration in capillary whole blood obtained from the fingertip, palm, and forearm. It is intended for use by people with diabetes or healthcare professionals to assist with diabetes management. This is an in vitro diagnostic device for external use only. It is not intended for diagnosing or screening for diabetes, and should not be used on neonates or with arterial blood samples. Testing from alternative sites (palm and forearm) is only appropriate during steady-state blood glucose conditions. These test strips enable quantitative measurement of glucose concentration in capillary whole blood from the fingertip, palm, and forearm. They are intended for use by diabetic patients or healthcare professionals as an aid in diabetes management. This is an in vitro diagnostic product for external use only. It is not for diagnosis or screening of diabetes, and must not be used on neonates or with arterial blood. Alternative site testing from the palm and forearm should only be performed during steady-state blood glucose conditions.
