Description Surgical Spirit is a topical antiseptic solution for cleansing the skin's surface. It is used to prepare skin before injection, help prevent pressure ulcers (bedsores), and toughen the skin on the feet. This product contains methyl salicylate 0.5% v/v as the active ingredient. It also contains diethyl phthalate BP, castor oil, and industrial methylated spirit BP. How to use Apply topically to the skin using cotton wool. Suitable for adults, children, and the elderly. Use as needed. Contraindications Do not use if you have a known hypersensitivity to methyl salicylate or any of the excipients. Warnings and precautions Do not apply to broken skin. For external use only. Keep out of the sight and reach of children. This preparation is flammable; keep away from naked flames.
